Intersil has announced ISL91127 and ISL91128, two buck-boost regulators with 4.5A built-in switches and up to 96% efficiency. Aimed at battery-operated devices, they work from 1.8 to 5.5V and offer quiescent current down to 30µA. Output range is variable between 1V and 5.2V, or fixed at 3.3V.
