Intel has repeated its suggestion that the industry should standardise on a node-naming convention. This is ironic in view of the refusal of Intel’s marketing people to admit that there was no feature on a ‘22nm’ or ‘16nm’ chip which measured 22nm or 16nm. In fact Intel’s ‘22nm’ process had a drawn gate length of 27nm. ...
