Samsung pays $8bn for connected car tech firm

Samsung Electronics has agreed to acquire US connected car technology firm Harman International Industries for around $8bn. Samsung said that connected vehicle technology was “a strategic priority” for the company and is expected to grow to more than $100bn by 2025.
